TO BECOME APART OF THE NEW CYCLESCHEME YOU MUST...

-         Contact us on 01458 273813 or Email: sales@gbcyclesltd.co.uk and inform us which bike and/or any equipment that you wish for and we shall give you a paper quote in return.

-         Give your quote to your employer so that they can confirm eligibility and ultimately approve the request.

-          Sign the hire agreement that will be sent to you by the Cyclescheme and they will also send an invoice for the bike package to your employer.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

-          Your agreed hire payments will be deducted from your gross monthly salary until you reach the end of the hire period.

-          Once the hire period has ended your employer has the decision to offer you the bike.

-          If you would like to own the bike outright then you must pay a Fair Market Value payment that has been agreed by the employer.

-          You must then contact us to arrange a collection date of your bike and/or any equipment.

-          On collection you must provide photographic ID.

This new Cyclescheme put forward by the government is a great encouragement for employees to cycle to work. It will not only improve your health and fitness but it can also save companies money. This is due to the savings made in the employer’s National Insurance for every bike that is processed through the Cyclescheme.

So, as soon as your employer is on board, Cyclescheme can help them to administer the scheme and you will have your new bike in no time!

HOWEVER...

-          Your employer must be in agreement to run the Cyclescheme before you can get your bike, as the scheme can only run through a salary sacrifice.

-          Salary sacrifice is where you agree to a short term reduction in your wages to pay for the hire of the bike and/or any equipment.

-          The Cyclescheme is only available to UK tax payers who pay PAYE.

-          Those who are self-employed CANNOT take part in the Cyclescheme.
